Description:
HP is hiring a senior Product Designer (Software UI/UX) to join its India & Growing Market Development Center (IDC) in Bengaluru. Operating entirely onsite, this strategic role focuses on designing the end-to-end software interfaces, application layers, and user journeys for an exciting, next-generation HP hardware product tailored specifically for the Indian market. Serving as an architectural design bridge, you will collaborate with cross-functional product management and engineering teams to transform raw ecosystem specifications into user-centered digital products. Your mandate involves balancing localized interface expectations with HP's strict global brand guidelines, mapping complex user flows, designing for the Android application platform, and aligning white-labeled Independent Software Vendor (ISV) integrations smoothly into a cohesive visual language.
Key Technologies:
Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, Sketch, Android UX/UI Guidelines, Information Architecture, Interaction Design Patterns, Prototyping Software, Motion Design & Sound Integration Tools, Agile Methodologies, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related quantitative design discipline.
- 5+ years of verified commercial experience operating as a dedicated UI/UX or Product Designer, supported by a strong portfolio displaying visually cohesive, production-shipped web and mobile interfaces.
- Deep, hands-on layout and interface design experience tailored explicitly for the Android operating system and mobile application ecosystem.
- Proven ability to study global enterprise design systems and cleanly translate them into highly contextual, localized product solutions.
- Complete operational mastery across all pillars of User-Centered Design (UCD) and Design Thinking:
- Research & Strategy: User research, competitor benchmark auditing, and information architecture synthesis.
- Interaction Blueprinting: Designing clean user flows, cross-screen navigation systems, and low-to-high fidelity wireframes.
- Validation: Conducting structured usability testing sessions, tracking defect behaviors, and refining iterations based on interactive behavioral insights.
- High proficiency structuring responsive digital layouts using design software like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, alongside a baseline structural awareness of frontend constraints using CSS.
- Prior experience navigating hardware-software co-dependent ecosystems, or familiarity running motion graphic design and sound asset integration into UI pathways.
- Strong collaborative soft skills to interface smoothly with software engineers, ISV partners, and international brand stakeholders. Ability to act as a project design lead, facilitate technical decision-making sessions, and maintain clarity in fast-paced Agile sprint schedules.
